It does the job and we are very happy with it... easy to remove and reinstall when backseat is needed... great product.. have recommended to many of our Mustang friends
I've had a number of convertibles over the past 15 or so years, so I when we decided to replace my wife's 2016 Mustang fastback with a 2018 convertible I was never in any doubt that it would benefit from a wind deflector. Yours was the first that came up when I searched, but it looked to be good quality and more importantly it didn't require any holes to be made in the new car's interior. Although my wife's car was part of the first batch of 2018 Mustangs to arrive in NZ, your wind deflector arrived before the car did, so we took it with us to collect the car and installed it before we drove away. The car is very much a toy, so it hasn't been driven much at all, and very rarely with the roof up. The wind deflector is as good as any I have used previously in terms quality, looks and function. Overall I think we're both happy with the purchase, and certainly happy to recommend it to other owners if the opportunity arises.
Of course my Mustang is away for the Ontario winter now, but I have the top down whenever possible for 7 months and love the wind deflector. Never put it down, even when the top is up. Makes top down driving SO MUCH MORE PLEASURABLE.
Yes I love it was easy to install and works great when top is down.
We are extremely please with our wind deflector.
We had good run trip since then.
Wind Deflector arrived on time. Definitely a must have accessory if you have a convertible. Your product stands above cheaper competitors: functional AND great design that coexists in harmony with my 2015 Mustang. Looks great! Thanks, Mike
When I got my 2013 Mustang I was concerned about the wind for my wife's comfort. So, I researched the wind screens and ended up getting the Love The Drive one. I was very satisfied with it and used it whenever it was top-down weather. Then, when I moved up to the 2016 Mustang, one of the first accessories I bought for it was another Love the Drive windscreen. It is a quality product and, while a little expensive, well worth the cost. Since the back seat of the Mustang is essentially useless anyway, I just leave it in all year. I recommend it to anyone with a convertible that wants a little more comfort when driving with the top down. I find that it extends the top down season for at least a few weeks at the beginning and end.
Will the wind deflector affect my ability to move the front seats of my 2015 Mustang all the way back? I’m taller & need the seat back as far as possible
We design all our wind deflectors to be use with the seats all the way back. Only if you lean your seat a long way back will the wind deflector touch the back of the front seats.
Storing wind deflector in trunk? Does the wind deflector fit in the trunk when folded and in the bag?
Yes we design the wind deflector so it can be stored in the trunk when not in use and we provide a free storage bag with the wind deflectors
When the wind deflector is installed, can you put it in a down position or is it always up?
The top panel can be raised or lowered so it sits flat. There is a photo in the Mustang 2015 photo that shows the wind deflector in the lowered position
Does this mar the trim? Wondering if this moves around enough to mar the top of the rear interior quarter panels where it sits?
No this wind deflector will not mark or mar your trim. All of our parts are coated in a Plastisol which is a soft vinyl so the brackets will not mark or damage your trim in anyway
What is the wind deflector made of and how much does it weigh?
Our wind deflectors are made of an extruded aluminum tube and industrial-strength plastic injection moulded pieces, which make up the frame. A nylon/polyester mesh fabric blend is stretched over the frame and held in place by a custom rubber T-gasket. The average weight of the wind deflector is 3 to 5 pounds
Does the wind deflector have to be removed from the back seat when I put the top up?
No your wind deflector can be left in place with the top up or down. Customer often never take them out of the car, they just fold them down.
